Impulse - Film Workshop

Impulse announces its 10th Workshop in Video/Film making for beginners.
Conducted by ex-FTII & ex-MCRC Jamia Filmmakers.

LEARN VIDEO/FILM MAKING HANDS-ON

NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN THIS FIELD IS REQUIRED

THE WORKSHOP IS AIMED AT PEOPLE WHO:
Want to make their own film, but don't know how.
Are thinking of a career in TV, but are not sure if it's right for them.
Are doing a mass communication course which doesn't have enough video training.
Want a creative new hobby.

LOGISTICS:
Duration: 3 Weeks + 3 Weeks (full days).
Held in South Delhi.
Flexible dates.
Small group of 20 people (max).

THE WORKSHOP IS CONDUCTED BY:
Principally conducted by Kavita Joshi, independent filmmaker, rtswhile TV Producer and an alumnus of FTII, Pune. Her recent documentary, Some Roots Grow Upwards (on theatre director Ratan Thiyam) won the Best Film (adults) award at the UGC Awards 2003, as also Technical Execellence (sound) & a Citation for Film on the Arts.

She has worked extensively with reputed TV production companies as General Manager (Programme Development), Producer and Director. Her programmes for TV include Wheels (BBC World, motoring show; won the Asian TV Award 2000); We the People (for DD, docus on India's environment; won the Sony Award 1999); The Great Escape (Star Plus,
travel series); Indians (SBS Australia, docu-series); and more.

Kavita Joshi has been designing and conducting workshops for over 4 years now. For institutions like: IIT Kanpur, Adobe India Ltd, International Association of Women in Radio & Television, Chetana Media Institute (Kerala), and others. She also conducts summer workshops at Impulse every year. Apart from Kavita Joshi, there will also be guest speakers like camerapersons, editors and artists.
